Billings Logan International Airport is a full-service airport located at the top of the “Rims” offering more flights than other airports in Montana. This is the largest airport in Montana, handling more than 450,000 passengers annually. Getting to Red Lodge from Billings is a scenic drive along MT Highway 212 for an hour and a half.
Driving
From Yellowstone National Park
MT Highway 212 runs through the Lamar Valley to the northeast entrance at Silver Gate. From here you will drive over the Beartooth Highway, one of the most beautiful drives in the United States, to Red Lodge.
From Billings, MT
Take Interstate 90 west to Exit 434 (Laurel, MT). Follow Highway 212 southwest approximately 46 miles to the city of Red Lodge. The drive is about an hour and is 60 miles.
From Bozeman, MT
Take Interstate 90 east to Exit 408 (Columbus, MT). Follow Highway 78 south to Red Lodge. It is 145 miles, about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
From Cody, WY
Follow Highway 120 to Belfry, MT. Turn left onto Highway 308 and follow the signs to Red Lodge. The drive is about an hour (60 miles).
